Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited has signed a Power Delivery Agreement (PDA) with Supreme Petrochem Limited for a 12.5 MW group captive project through a SPV - TP Saturn Limited. Located in Achegaon, Maharashtra, the plant will generate around 27.5 million units (MUs) of renewable power annually. Supreme Petrochem Limited is market leader in polystyrene and expandable polystyrene in India and is currently putting up an ABS plant (70 KTA) with a continuous mass process, a low-carbon footprint technology.

The Company is committed to use the clean energy to run its production units. The plant is expected to reduce carbon emissions by 20,075 metric tonnes per annum and is expected to be operational within eight months of the PDA signing. The addition of this proposed group captive power plant elevates TPREL's total renewable energy capacity to an impressive 7,902 MW.

This includes 3,711 MW of projects in varying stages of development, highlighting TPREL's firm commitment to extending its clean energy portfolio. Presently, the company operates at a capacity of 4,191 MW, comprising 3,185 MW from solar and 1,006 MW from wind energy. As on date, TPRE L's total renewable utility capacity is 7, 902 MW including 3,185 MW solar and 1,006 MW wind.

Presently, the company's solar EPC portfolio is more than 11.5 GWp of ground-mount utility-scale, over 1.7 GW of rooftop and distributed ground-mounted systems, and over 1,00,000 solar water pumps. TPREL aims to provide energy access to millions of people across the country via its integrated green energy solutions.
