FRANKFURT (dpa-AFX Broker) - The cancellation of a buy recommendation for Süss Microtec by the investment bank Stifel triggered profit-taking on Monday. The shares, which had previously risen by more than 40 percent in Borsen 2024, lost a good five percent to 38.45 euros at midday. The shares were thus the biggest loser in the SDax index of smaller boron stocks.

Analysts Florian Sager and Jürgen Wagner from Stifel justified the downgrade from "buy" to "hold" with this strong share price increase in the new boron year. The valuation is now "somewhat high". The current price/earnings ratio of 27 compares with an average value of 15 for the past five years. The expected sales growth is probably largely priced in at this level, according to the experts./bek/mis
