Sweett Group, the provider of professional services for the construction and management of building and infrastructure projects, has been appointed by Bournemouth University, through the South West Consultancy Framework, to provide quantity surveying services on Bournemouth Gateway Fusion Building (BGFB) at its Lansdowne Campus in Bournemouth.

BGFB will provide academic facilities for the Faculty of Health and Social Sciences, social learning facilities and support services accommodation. The project will also allow for external works and landscaping, as well as planning and consideration for a second building plot on the site to be developed at a later stage.

Due to be in operation by September 2019, this landmark academic building will be developed using BIM level 2, and will look to achieve BREEAM excellent and an EPC rating of A.

Bournemouth University is an innovative institution and has a strong reputation for research, enterprise and professional practice. Home to 18,000 students and 2,000 staff, the University generates over £1m a day in economic activity in the South West of England.
