Swisslog Healthcare's UniPick 2 Drug Dispensing System was successfully implemented in the Kiang Wu Hospital's outpatient pharmacy in October 2016. This state‐of‐the‐art drug dispensing system optimizes Kiang Wu Hospital's outpatient pharmacy workflow to reduce patient waiting time, increase efficiency, improve patient service level and safeguard patient care by ensuring the right drug, dose and quantity is dispensed to the right patient.

The UniPick 2 Drug Dispensing System currently manages at least 70% of the dispensed volume at the outpatient pharmacy and handles more than 1,000 prescriptions per day.

Swisslog UniPick 2 Drug Dispensing System can load and dispense drugs simultaneously, increasing the pharmacy's efficiency in drug management. With a vertical traveling conveyor, it ensures safe dispensing of glass-bottled medications. Real-time inventory checks can be done to ensure all drugs are accounted for and reports can be generated to study and optimize the pharmacy's capacity.
