Tailim Packaging Co., Ltd. (KOSE:A011280) signed a contract to acquire Corrugated box and materials business in Cheongwon factory and Masan No. 2 factory from Wolsan Co., Ltd. for KRW 5.3 billion on October 10, 2016. Under the transaction, consideration settlement will be made within 20 days from the transaction closing date and the acquisition amount will be paid with operating funds. The general meeting of shareholders is scheduled on November 21, 2016. For the year ended December 31, 2015, the acquired assets reported revenue KRW 127.27 billion. The transaction is expected to be completed by December 30, 2016. As of November 21, 2016, the transaction has been approved by the shareholders of Tailim Packaging Co., Ltd.
Tailim Packaging Co., Ltd, formerly Tailim Packaging Industrial Co., Ltd., is a Korea-based company principally engaged in the manufacturing and sale of corrugated boxes. Along with its subsidiaries, the Company operates its business through three segments. Corrugated Boxes segment manufactures and sells boxes, materials and by-products. Corrugated Papers segment manufactures and sells test liner papers, corrugating medium papers and tube papers, also does waste disposal. Freight Transportation segment operates the transportation of goods. The Company distributes its products within domestic market and to overseas markets.
