--Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. will offer advanced four-nanometer chips when its new plant opens in Arizona in 2024, after its U.S. clients such as Apple Inc. urged it to do so, Bloomberg reports, citing people familiar with the matter.

--The company is expected to make the announcement next Tuesday when U.S. President Joe Biden and Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo visit Phoenix for a ceremony, the report said.

--TSMC will also commit to add another plant nearby, that is expected to make even more advanced, three-nanometer chips, the report cited the people as saying.
