Talentum acquires Sanoma Pro's B2B business

Talentum acquires Sanoma Pro's B2B business as part of its Books and Legal
Training segment. 

The business provides up-to-date digital services and training, as well as
publishing business books for professionals in the fields of taxation,
financial administration, law and supervisory work. The key products in the
acquired business are the digital Fokus service and Verkkokirjahylly ("Online
Bookshelf").

offering and our customer base will expand. The acquisition enables Talentum to
significantly strengthen its position as Finland's leading publisher of
professional content in the book and training market," says Lasse Rosengren,
Talentum's Deputy CEO. 

"The strategy of Sanoma Pro is to focus on the production of learning
solutions, and divesting B2B business is a part of this development. We are the
leading provider of learning solutions in the Finnish market and the forerunner
in development of digital solutions. We want to increase our focus on providing
the best multi-channel solutions and high quality learning materials to our

Net sales for the business to be transferred for 2013 totalled approximately
EUR 4 million. The transaction will see 24 employees transfer to Talentum as
existing employees, after which Talentum's Books and Legal Training will employ
54 people. The acquired business will be transferred to Talentum approximately
on 1 May 2014.
