(Reuters) - British housebuilder Taylor Wimpey said on Wednesday it would build fewer homes this year amid persistent weakness in the housing market, and also posted a 49% slump in annual profit, in line with market expectations.
The FTSE 100-listed developer's operating profit for the year ended Dec. 31 came in at 470.2 million pounds ($594.64 million), in line with company-compiled average analysts' estimates of 469 million pounds.
