Teleste and Swarco are bringing sustainable information display technologies to the transport network operated by the Swedish Transport Administration, Trafikverket. Over the next three years, a frame agreement between Teleste and Swarco will oversee the supply of Teleste's RGB LED displays to enhance Trafikverket's operations. The agreement also holds the potential for two additional two-year extensions.

Teleste and Swarco share history of long-term collaboration in providing technologies and solutions for the public transport sector. Anders Jonsson, Business Area Manager for Swarco, emphasises its importance for meeting Trafikverket's high technology requirements. The new Teleste displays will progressively replace the existing ones at Trafikverket stations throughout Sweden, leveraging the latest display technologies to enhance travel experiences with real-time travel information.

Furthermore, this display solution represents a substantial leap forward in the realm of sustainable public transport infrastructure. Claudio Borrello, Head of Teleste's Public Transport Operators business line explains the benefits of the technology for transport operators and the environment. The RGB LED technology is known for its small energy footprint, which makes it a great fit for environmentally friendly transport networks.

Taking the requirements for green mobility a significant step further, Teleste has also equipped the displays with smart diagnostics functionality designed to enhance the performance of the displays. By enabling real-time monitoring and troubleshooting remotely, the technology extends the life of the displays while minimizing the need for physical service visits.
