Templeton Emerging Markets Fund, Inc. intends to pursue acquisitions. Executive Chairman of Templeton Mark Mobius told a press conference on April 25, 2012, "There are good opportunities (in Europe - editor's note) because the stock market predicts the economy, thus the shares from the European countries dropped sharply in some cases following all bad news generated by this debt crisis. We found many favorable investments in Eastern Europe and particularly in Romania and that is why we want to increase our acquisitions of shares, those whose prices plunged significantly. We do not believe that this European debt crisis will last forever."
