Texas Roadhouse Inc. has signed its first franchise development agreement for Jaggers, its fast casual concept, with The Saxton Group, a Dallas-based brand that operates over 85 restaurants in six states.

Terms of the multi-year development agreement call for the opening of 10 Jaggers throughout East and Central Texas as well as the greater Tulsa area, with the potential to expand into additional markets.

"We are incredibly impressed by the Jaggers brand and the level of professionalism evident throughout the Texas Roadhouse organization," Adam Saxton, co-CEO and owner of The Saxton Group, said in a company press release. "This is an exciting opportunity to bring a great brand to markets that we have become very familiar with over the years."

Founded in 2014 by Texas Roadhouse, Jaggers features burgers, hand-breaded chicken tenders, salads and shakes. It has locations in Louisville as well as in Greenwood and Noblesville, Indiana. A fourth company-owned location will open this fall in the Indianapolis area.

"We are excited about the partnership with The Saxton Group, which has deep industry knowledge and 35 years of hands-on, operational experience," said Jerry Morgan, CEO and president of Texas Roadhouse.
