Siam Commercial Bank Public : Nine capital market honors

SCB large corporate deals win nine capital market honors, affirming the success of its customer-centric approach and deep understanding of sustainable business

Siam Commercial Bank, led by Soramon Inkatanuvatana, First Executive Vice President of the Corporate Banking 1 Function, Tanik Tarawisid, First Executive Vice President of the Investment and Capital Markets Function, and a team from the SCB Wholesale Banking Function, recently celebrated their success in receiving nine outstanding capital market awards from leading international banking publications. The honors recognize the Bank's outstanding performance in serving large corporate customers, leveraging its customer-centricity and financial skills to successfully close deals for major corporate clients. These accomplishments are evident in the transactions in which SCB served as financial advisor and supporter for the acquisition of Tesco Stores (Thailand) Co., Ltd., and bond issuance, lending, and fundraising deals to promote sustainability and the environment. Additionally, it highlights the Bank's expertise in capital markets and its dedication to conducting business in a sustainable manner. This year, the Bank will continue working to offer financial solutions, fulfilling customer demands and evolving financial industry trends. Moreover, it aspires to expand opportunities for large firms that adhere to global sustainability standards, strengthening the Thai business sector's potential and fostering robust and sustainable growth.

Five awards were for acting as joint arrangers of bond issuance and providing loans to promote economic stability, society, natural resources, and the environment:

1. Best Sustainability-Linked Transaction & Best ESG-Linked Financial Deal of The Year from Alpha Southeast Asia's 15^th Annual Best Deal & Solution Awards 2021 for Indorama Ventures PCL's Sustainability-Linked Bond (SLB).
2. Best Sustainability-Linked Bond from The Asset Triple A Sustainable Capital Markets Awards 2021 for Indorama Ventures PCL's Sustainability-Linked Bond (SLB).
3. Renewable Energy Deal of the Year - Solar, Vietnam from The Asset Triple A Infrastructure Awards 2021 for a long-term loan for the development and operation of Gulf Tay Ninh 2 Joint Stock Company's solar power project in Vietnam.
4. Transport Deal of the Year from The Asset Triple A Infrastructure Awards 2021 for BTS Group Holding PCL's Green Bond underwriting.
5. Debt Deal of the Year - Thailand from ABF Corporate & Investment Banking Awards 2021 for success in underwriting PTT's debentures, comprising three-year Green Bonds worth 2 billion baht and a debenture offering to institutional investors and/or large investors and general investors worth 33 billion baht in total.

Two awards were for serving as a financial advisor and supporter to the CP Group in the acquisition of Tesco Stores (Thailand) Co., Ltd. and Tesco Stores (Malaysia):

Two awards were for underwriting CPALL's bonds worth 66 billion baht in total to refinance the Tesco Lotus' deal:
