Fremantle Limited agreed to acquire Asacha Media Group from Oaktree Capital Management, L.P. and founding partners of Asacha on February 20, 2024. Concurrently, Fremantle acquired 80% stake in Beach House Pictures Ltd. For both acquisitions combined, RTL Group will invest over ?200 million. The acquisitions of Asacha Media Group and Beach House Pictures are part of Fremantle?s boost plan to reach ?3 billion in full-year revenue by 2025. Asacha will continue to be run by Co-Founder and Group CEO Gaspard de Chavagnac who will report to Andrea Scrosati. Gaspard de Chavagnac will continue to be supported by Marina Williams, as Chief Content Officer of Asacha. The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions.

Lazard, Inc. (NYSE:LAZ) acted as financial advisor to Asacha. Mayer Brown LLP acted as legal advisor to Asacha. CMS Cameron McKenna Nabarro Olswang LLP acted as legal advisor to Fremantle. Alexandre Dejardin and Diane Rufenacht of Duroc Partners acted as legal advisor; and Alexandre Rocchi and Charlotte Elkoun of Arsene Taxand for the tax aspects to the founders of Asacha. Florence Khayat and Charles Frassaint of Eight Advisory provided financial due diligence services to Oaktree Capital Management. Ascanio Cibrario, Luca Rossi Provesi and Andrea Scarpellini of PedersoliGattai acted as legal advisor to Roberto Sessa with reference to his minority interest in Picomedia.

Fremantle Limited completed the acquisition of Asacha Media Group from Oaktree Capital Management, L.P. and founding partners of Asacha on March 25, 2024. Fremantle?s group COO and CEO for continental Europe Andrea Scrosati spearheaded the acquisition. Asacha co-founder and group CEO Gaspard de Chavagnac will continue to run the company, reporting to Scrosati. Marina Williams will continue in her role as chief content officer.
