Tombador Iron Limited announced it has commenced road hauling operations of iron ore lump to build a stockpile at the Port for its first export shipment. The Company has also recently received assay results of diamond drill core samples from the infill drilling program at its Tombador Hematite Project. A summary of the best intersections and an example photo of the core show the high-grade nature of the Tombador hematite deposit. These high-grade intersections are as follows: 23.3m @ 67.0% Fe from 53.0m in TBRDH15A1; 15.6m @ 69.4% Fe from 29.2m in TBR-DH0018; 29.2m @ 67.4% Fe from 55.0m in TBR-DH0019; 19.4m @ 68.8% Fe from 24.2m in TBR-DH0026; 19.3m @ 67.6% Fe from 45.3m in TBR-DH00272; 11.3m @ 67.5% Fe from 45.0m in TBR-DH0029; 13.3m @ 67.9% Fe from 80.0m in TBR-DH0030; 11.3m @ 65.2% Fe from surface in TBR-DH0032. These results are the second assay batch released for this drill program and comprise a summary of samples collected from 17 drill holes. The diamond drill core is sampled in 1m intervals and grades reported are the weighted average across the reported interval. The Tombador hematite mineralisation is situated on the spine of the Tombador hill and is relatively flat lying, dipping on average 30 degrees to the east. The infill drilling program which was focused on the initial mining area is now complete. The orebody remains open to both the North East and to the South East which the company expects to explore in a subsequent drill program. The Company has commenced operations and the immediate focus is to prepare ramp up mine plans to increase the production rate. The Company expects to be able to release an update to its Mineral Resource estimate in third quarter current year 2021.
