Stockholm, Sweden - 15th June 2015 - Transmode, a global supplier of packet-optical networking solutions, today announced that the company has started initial shipments to an undisclosed major cable MSO in North America.

Following a successful period of product evaluation and testing by the cable MSO, Transmode has now started receiving initial orders for its TM-Series platform for some specific applications. Initial orders are for smaller projects and it is anticipated that it will take time for the volume of business to grow. However it's Transmode's opinion that the longer term potential of the account is good.

Karl Thedéen, Transmode's CEO, commented, "While this is early days for this account and initial shipments are currently small, this project is an excellent example of the progress we are making in North America. Not only does this new account show that we can capitalize on our expertise gained in the European cable market, where we are exceptionally strong, but it is a good proof-point for the work we have been doing over recent years to structure our Americas team for growth and to lay the foundations for entry into selective larger accounts in the region."
