Ubar Hotels and Resorts SAOG, formerly Interior Hotels Company SAOG, is an Oman-based company engaged in the tourism industry within the Sultanate of Oman. The principal activity of the Company is the ownership and operation of the Golden Tulip Nizwa Hotel. The Company operates through four business segments: the Rooms segment includes suites and standard rooms; the Food segment Includes the main restaurant, room services, banquettes, lobby lounge and shisha point; the Beverage segment Includes the main bar, pool bar, room services, banquettes, lobby lounge, shisha point and tobacco selling, and the Others segment includes boutique, guest telephone service, guest transport service, guest laundry service and other miscellaneous services. As of December 31, 2011, the Company’s major shareholders included Mohammed Al Barwani Investment LLC and ROP Pension Fund, among others. In August 2012, the Company acquired Park Inn Hotel, a four-star hotel property in Muscat, Oman.
