Krakatoa Resources Ltd. announced that it has entered into an agreement with United Mining Group to jointly pursue opportunities in the energy sector with an immediate focus on a clean energy opportunity in Australia that is able to make synergistic use of existing infrastructure. United Mining Group has significant high level management and operations experience internationally across a broad spectrum of mining and energy companies including Shell, Rio Tinto, BHP, BP Coal, Costains, Griffin Coal, BanPu, Anglo Coal and Solid Energy (Glencore). United's expertise is in the exploration, development and operations of world class, highly efficient open-pit, underground and coal resource infrastructure projects in Australia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, New Zealand, USA, Canada, South America, Poland and South Africa.

Krakatoa and United Mining Group's initial priority will be to evaluate an early-stage clean energy opportunity in Australia, drawing on the mining and capital markets expertise contained within the two groups. The parties are currently in preliminary negotiations and every effort is being made to secure the project that could potentially offer multiple revenue streams and add significant value for Krakatoa shareholders.
