March 7 (Reuters) - Vonovia CEO Rolf Buch said the company was shocked that authorities had discovered documents which indicated individuals could be receiving kickbacks for awarding contract to third parties and was taking measures against personnel.

The company had commissioned Deloitte to conduct an independent investigation and would file complaints against the accused, the statement from Vonovia said.

"We are shocked. Apparently, individual employees at our subsidiaries allowed themselves to be bribed to the detriment of Vonovia – that is unacceptable," Buch said in the statement. (Reporting by Victoria Waldersee Editing by Riham Alkousaa)
