WDB Holdings Co., Ltd. reported consolidated earnings results for the third quarter of 2017. For the quarter, the company reported net sales of JPY 28,361 million against JPY 24,100 million a year ago. Operating income was JPY 3,308 million against JPY 2,480 million a year ago. Ordinary income was JPY 3,343 million against JPY 2,480 million a year ago. Net income attributable to owners of parent was JPY 2,736 million against JPY 1,428 million a year ago. Earnings per share were JPY 136.60 against JPY 71.24 a year ago.
The company provided consolidated earnings guidance for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2018. For the period, the company expects net sales of JPY 37,560 million, operating income of JPY 3,749 million, ordinary income of JPY 3,759 million, net income attributable to owners of parent of JPY 2,822 million.
WDB HOLDINGS CO., LTD. is a company mainly engaged in the manpower dispatching business. The Company operates in two business segments. The Human Resource Service segment is engaged in the work of client customers mainly through temporary staffing and contracting contracts. The CRO (Contract Research Organization) business segment acts on and supports experimental work in basic research of pharmaceuticals, quasi-drugs, cosmetics and development work after clinical trial. The other business is engaged in the contracted manufacture of organic chemicals, as well as the product development and sale, and the research of the aquaculture and breeding of clams, fishes and algae, among others.
