WideOpenWest, Inc. reported earnings results for the second quarter and six months ended June 30, 2023. For the second quarter, the company reported revenue was USD 172.6 million compared to USD 176.1 million a year ago. Net loss was USD 101.7 million compared to net income of USD 4 million a year ago. Basic loss per share from continuing operations was USD 1.25 compared to basic earnings per share from continuing operations of USD 0.05 a year ago. Diluted loss per share from continuing operations was USD 1.25 compared to diluted earnings per share from continuing operations of USD 0.05 a year ago.
For the six months, revenue was USD 344.8 million compared to USD 350.7 million a year ago. Net loss was USD 139.7 million compared to net income of USD 9.7 million a year ago. Basic loss per share from continuing operations was USD 1.7 compared to basic earnings per share from continuing operations of USD 0.12 a year ago. Diluted loss per share from continuing operations was USD 1.7 compared to diluted earnings per share from continuing operations of USD 0.11 a year ago.
WideOpenWest, Inc. is a broadband provider, which offers a portfolio of advanced services, including high-speed data (HSD), cable television (Video) and digital telephony services to residential customers, and offers a full range of products and services to business customers. It offers its services across 16 markets via hybrid fiber-coax network. Its footprint covers certain suburban areas within the states of Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Michigan, South Carolina and Tennessee. Its broadband networks pass approximately 1.9 million homes and businesses and serves 504,100 customers. The Company offers tiered HSD services to residential customers that include high-speed connections to the Internet using cable modems. It offers a connection up to 1.2 GIG. Its broadband network also supports services to business customers, and it has developed a full suite of products for small, medium and large local enterprises. It offers fiber-based services and office-to-office metro Ethernet services.
