The results beat Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of 10 analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $5.06 per share.

The seller of cookware and home furnishings posted revenue of $2.28 billion in the period, also exceeding Street forecasts. Eight analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $2.21 billion.

For the year, the company reported profit of $949.8 million, or $14.55 per share. Revenue was reported as $7.75 billion.
