WindForce PLC announced the commencement of an ambitious and project that is set to redefine Sri Lanka's energy landscape. The Siyambalanduwa 100 MW Solar Power Plant, in partnership with Lakdhanavi Ltd. and the esteemed renewable energy company, The Blue Circle Pte Ltd. from Singapore, marks a significant milestone in the nation's joumey towards clean and sustainable energy sources. The said project was awarded to the Company on 16th August 2023.

With a mega investment of USD 152 million, this project underscores the consortium's dedication to propelling Sri Lanka's energy transition to new heights. The magnitude of this endeavor is evident not only in its impressive size but also in its innovative approach to integrating cutting-edge technology and fostering collaboration across borders. What sets this project apart is the integration of a 12MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) with the solar plant itself.
