Nova-Kem, LLC announced a private placement of 50,000 common shares with new investor Wonik Materials Co., Ltd. on September 25, 2014. The investor will acquire 26,000 shares through existing shareholders and will hold 50.67% stake in the company upon completion of both the transactions. The scheduled acquisition date is October 1, 2014. On the same date, the transaction was approved by the board of directors of the investor. The company reported total assets of KRW 2,467,000,000, total liabilities of KRW 2,766,000,000, total stockholders' equity of - KRW 299,000,000, sales revenue of KRW 1,491,000,000, and net loss of KRW 300,000,000 for the year ended December 31, 2013.
On October 1, 2014, Nova-Kem, LLC closed the transaction.
Wonik Materials Co Ltd is a Korea-based company mainly engaged in the manufacture and sale of gas products used in semiconductor industry. The Company's product portfolio consists of ammonia gas, nitric oxide (NO), nitrous oxide, germanium tetrahydride, disilane and laser mix. Its products are used in the manufacturing processes of semiconductors and displays such as liquid crystal displays (LCDs), light emitting diode (LED) displays and others. The Company also provides ammonia gas supply equipment. It also involves in the production and sale of precursors.
