The Russian CCI took part in the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum 2016

A XX St.Petersburg International Economic Forum was held 16-18 June 2016. Delegation of Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation headed by President Sergei Katyrin attended the event. Among the delegates in the SPIEF participated - CCI vice-presidents Vladimir Dmitriev, Elena Davydova and Vladimir Padalko, World Trade Center Moscow Director General Vladimir Strashko, as well as Director General of JSC 'Expocentre', Chairman of the CCI Committee for Exhibition, Fair and Congress Activities Sergei Bednov.

In the framework of the Forum an agreement on cooperation between the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and JSC 'Russian export center'(REC) was signed on June 16, 2016 by the Chairman of the WTC Board of Directors, CCI President Sergey Katyrin and CEO of REC Petr Fradkov. The Russian export center and the World Trade Centre Moscow inked contract earlier October 1, 2015. Mr. Fradkov highlighted the role of the World Trade Center in supporting domestic exporters.

'Today it is more difficult to promote goods than to produce them, for that reason a competition between public systems of business support in foreign markets comes to the forefront' - Sergey Katyrin said. Director General of JSC 'Expocentre' Sergei Bednov noted that the agreement on cooperation between the Chamber and the REC offers great opportunities to the exhibition industry: 'All exhibitions are aimed at export development. It is evident that this agreement will allow the exhibition organizers benefit fr om opportunities offered by REC, including information tools'.

This year Russian export center organizes a large-scale exhibition stand, wh ere the products of Russian exporters are presented including in an integrated online catalog format at the SPIEF 2016. Moreover, REC holds and supports a number of events dedicated to export.
