Xyratex Ltd. : Xyratex to Present at the 39th European Conference and Exhibition on Optical Communication in London on Sept. 22

Havant, UK - September 18, 2013 - Xyratex Ltd (Nasdaq: XRTX), a leading provider of data storage technology, today announced that Richard Pitwon, leader of the photonics research group at Xyratex, will present at the 39th European Conference and Exhibition on Optical Communication (ECOC) at the ICC ExCeL in London on Sunday, Sept. 22.  Pitwon will deliver "Migration of Embedded Optical Interconnect into Data Centre Systems," one in a series of talks in a workshop about the leading drivers and optical technologies for next generation very short reach interconnects. ECOC 2013 will be the pivotal event of the year for European engineers, providing a platform for industry professionals to deliver emerging topics, new results and developments in the optical communications sphere.
