At its meeting, the Board of Directors of Yamaha Corporation decided the change of Chairman, President and Representative Executive Officer to start from April 1, 2024. Details are as follows. Other executive appointments effective April 1 will be decided at a meeting of the Board of Directors scheduled to be held on February 27.

Change of Chairman (Scheduled to be appointed on April 1): Takuya Nakata (Currently Director, President and Representative Executive Officer). Change of President and Representative Executive Officer (Scheduled to be appointed on April 1): Atsushi Yamaura (Currently Executive Officer, Deputy Executive General Manager of Musical Instruments & Audio Products Sales Unit). Resignation of Executive Officer (Scheduled to retire on March 31): Takuya Nakata (Currently Director, President and Representative Executive position Officer).

Atsushi Yamaura: Date of Birth is August 19, 1967. Education includes March 1992: B.S. in Instrumentation Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Tokyo University; and May 2000: M.B.A., University of Texas Graduate School of Business. Business Career includes: April 1992: Joined Yamaha Corporation; April 2015: General Manager of Audio Technology Development Department, Audio Products Development Division; October 2016: General Manager of Digital Musical Instruments Development Department, Musical Instruments Development Division; April 2019: Senior General Manager of Digital Musical Instruments Division, Musical Instruments Business Unit.
