Yamashin-Filter CORP. reported consolidated and non-consolidated earnings results for the year ended March 31, 2017. For the year, the company reported net sales of JPY 10,007 million compared to JPY 9,458 million a year ago. Operating income was JPY 957 million compared to JPY 407 million a year ago. Ordinary income was JPY 934 million compared to JPY 349 million a year ago. Net income attributable to owners of parent was JPY 640 million or JPY 51.46 per share compared to JPY 183 million or JPY 14.79 per share a year ago. Cash flows from operating activities were JPY 952 million compared to JPY 1,232 million a year ago. Return on equity was 10% compared to 2.9% a year ago.
For the year, on non-consolidated basis, the company reported net sales of JPY 9,314 million compared to JPY 8,581 million a year ago. Operating profit was JPY 424 million compared to loss of JPY 99 million a year ago. Ordinary income was JPY 821 million compared to JPY 118 million a year ago. Net income was JPY 617 million or JPY 49.68 per share compared to JPY 130 million or JPY 10.51 per share a year ago.
For the year ending March 31, 2018, the company expects consolidated net sales of JPY 11,090 million operating income of JPY 980 million, ordinary income of JPY 970 million and net income attributable to owners of parent of JPY 660 million or JPY 53.06 per share.
Yamashin-Filter Corp is mainly engaged in the development, manufacture, and sale of filter products for construction machinery, air filter products, and healthcare-related products such as masks for home use. The Company operates its business through three segments. The Construction Machinery Filter segment mainly develops, manufactures, and sells filters for construction machinery, industrial use, and process use. The Air Filter segment mainly develops, manufactures, and sells air filters. The Healthcare segment mainly develops, manufactures, and sells Yamashin original masks that utilize synthetic polymer-based nanofibers.
