From September 17th to 20th, Chairman Chen Jinghe of Zijin Mining attended the World Gold Council's meeting of the Board of Directors and Gold Forum Americas in Denver, Colorado, known as a mining capital.

Zijin Mining became a member of the World Gold Council in September 2020, making it one of the four Chinese members of the Council. During the meeting, reports were presented by the Administration Committee, the Nominations and Governance Committee, the Audit Committee, the Compensation Committee, and the CEO of the Council. Discussions revolved around the global gold industry's commitment to transparency, promoting information disclosure, standardizing data, etc.

On the sidelines of the meeting, Chairman Chen Jinghe met with chairmen, CEOs, and other key executives of leading global gold miners and investment banks such as Newmont, Barrick, Agnico Eagle, and AngloGold Ashanti. They engaged in in-depth discussions about the opportunities and challenges facing the gold industry, market trends of metals like gold and copper, geopolitics, and ESG. Chairman Chen learned about the investment and development strategies of these companies and their major projects, and discussed future directions and key projects for cooperation with them.

Vice President Shen Shaoyang of Zijin Mining delivered a speech at the forum, highlighting Zijin's strong growth in gold and copper. He also emphasized Zijin's innovative ESG practices based on the principle of Development for All and its commitment to combating climate change and reducing energy consumption and carbon emissions. Mr. Shen called upon players in the mining industry to maintain global cooperation, avoid market segregation, and actively contribute to the well-being of all stakeholders and global economic growth.
