"Periodic Inspection" applications started to be made to Zorlu Enerji Calibration Center

Operating meter and transmitter activities in Gaziantep Organized Industrial Zone, The Calibration Center of Zorlu Enerji -Turkey's leading renewable energy company- announced that periodic inspection applications for natural gas meters have started. Applications are accepted until the end of February by provincial directorates of the T.R. Ministry of Industry and Technology. This mandatory process begins with the tracking number notification to the Zorlu Enerji Calibration Center and is completed by the agreement at the end of the year.

Applications for periodic inspections of natural gas meters, which are required by law, have started all over the country. The calibration center plays a significant role in saving the distribution companies and customers from extra costs and protecting the environment and consumers. "Zorlu Enerji Calibration Center," established by Zorlu Enerji in Gaziantep Organized Industrial Zone, started to accept natural gas meters for maintenance and periodic inspections, and inspections with complaints and failures. Zorlu Enerji performs the calibrations of domestic natural gas meters and pressure and temperature transmitters in RMS-A/B/C type stations with susceptible devices and gives certificates.

Zorlu Enerji Calibration Center performs calibration and adjustment services within the regulations and legislation, following the technical specifications, and is reliable. Furthermore, it ensures the timely delivery of meters with detailed reporting (SAP-ISU / Fiori / Mobil) and simultaneously provides reporting processes as the calibration process is completed.

Feedback is given to distribution companies by referring methodologies

Zorlu Enerji carefully controls all meters that are brought for calibration. It detects meter interventions, if any, and informs the customer about the process to be followed. Zorlu Enerji Calibration Center generates a dataset by considering the technical criteria of tens of thousands of meters brought to the laboratory for periodic inspection, malfunction, and calibration requests. It provides distribution companies with scientific methodologies feedback by considering different variables based on the data prepared electronically. Zorlu Enerji Calibration Center officials visit the natural gas distribution region's officials. They provide comprehensive legal metrology, legislation, balance management, post-calibration meter performance, lifespan analysis, and other technical issues.

The application period closes at the end of February

Zorlu Enerji reminds customers that the periodic inspections of electricity, water and natural gas meters must be done every 10 years specified in the "Measurement and Measuring Instruments Regulation" of the Ministry of Industry and Technology. It also underlines that the application deadline is until the last day of February of the year following the year in which the periodic examination period ends.

Distribution companies and OIZs are required to carry out these periodic inspections regularly. In this context, applications are made through provincial directorates and on the internet within the scope of the BAMS (Reducing Bureaucracy and Simplifying Legislation) project of the Ministry of Industry and Technology. The process is started right after the tracking number of the meter's periodic inspection or inspection with complaints is notified to Zorlu Enerji Calibration Center.

Zorlu Enerji Calibration Center operated at full capacity in 2021 for the meters covered by Periodic Inspection, Inspection with Complaints, and Defective Inspection of natural gas meters. With the accreditation of qualification obtained from the Turkish Accreditation Agency (TÜRKAK) this year, the Center proved that it is operating at the levels of international laboratories in areas such as method development and measurement uncertainty. Zorlu Enerji Calibration Center has completed preparations to bring its results achieved in technical measurement to the global platform.
