Alkomet Shumen : Awards for the competition “Industry in my region” were given

On official ceremony for Children's day at the dancing room of Mladezhki dom were distinguished the best participant in the competition 'Industry of my region'.

76 children from Shumen schools participated the competition which was held for the second time in Bulgaria, organized by the University of Chemical Technology and Metallurgy - Sofia and the Bulgarian Association of Metallurgical Industry. The initiative was held under the patronage of the Mayor of the municipality Lyubomir Hristov. Sponsor of the event was Alcomet AD.

Works were evaluated by a jury with chairman Assoc. Prof. Eng. Rosina Yordanova and members - Assoc. Prof. Eng. Georgi Chernev, Assoc. Prof. Svetla Yankova, who examined the essay and for drawings selection artist Panteley Yankov joined the jury.

Today, chairman of Supervisory board of Alcomet Ad - Fikret Ince, Mayor - Liubomir Hristov and Politimi Paunova - Executive director of Bulgarian Association of Metallurgical Industry and members of jury gave the awards to the best students.

'I am very happy to be here. Let me greet all these nice children with their celebration. You are our future. I am glad that you have an idea for future and industry. I do hope when you grow up, dear children, to be educated, to be our engineers and to develop the industry together', greeted the participants Fikret Ince. He added, that do wish this competition to become a tradition in Shumen.

Greetings to the organizers and participants made also Mayor Liubomir Hristov. 'It fits to our city such a competition. I want to express my gratitude to organizers and participants. Let me assure you that it will take not many years when Shumen will become an industrial center of Northeast Bulgaria' said Liubomir Hristov. He underlined that till the end of the year three new factories will be build and during 2017 - 3 more.

'I would like to express my sincere appreciation to Fikret Ince for his dedication of what he is doing. He is one of the people who support professional and dual training in our region. Hope we will continue to cooperate also in future', state Liubomir Hristov.

Greetings on behalf of Rector and the academic community The University of Chemical Technology and Metallurgy was presented by Assoc. Prof. Eng.Rozina Yordanova. She thanked for the hospitality of Shumen Municipality and Alcomet AD. 'Impressive are results from the competition. We manage to provoke your ideas and imagination. Dear students, thank you that you took the challenge and showed so good results', said Rozina Yordanova to the students.

Students in the competition 'Industry in my region' were divided into three groups - from fifth to eight class, and from ninth to twelfth class who were writing an essay on this topic and the kids from first to forth class attended with drawings.

Among the youngest from 1-4 class first prize for drawings was received by Georgi Vladimirov Postharov at the age of 7 from the Iliya R. Blaskov school. Stanimira Bisserova Todorova was eleven years old from the art school at the CCRT-ODK and a third prize was awarded to Beloslava Boyanova Bogdanova at the age of 10 of the Iliya R. Blaskov school.

First prize among the students from 5-8 class took Esil Nadi 8 class from Petar Beron school, second prize was for Rumyana Mladenova 7 class from Nancho Popovich high school and third prize was for Kremena Ignatova 6 class from Petar Beron school.

Winner in the eldest group was Alexandra Petkova 9 class from Prof. Doc. Asen Zlatarov school. Second prize is for Rafet Ismailov 10 class from Professional high school of Economy and third prize is for Nataliya Yosifova9 class from Nancho Popovich high school.

All children received ipad from Alcomet as well as Almanah with all works of the participants in the competition.
