DIA Distribuidora Internacional de Alimentacion : Group appoints Antonio Coto as its new CEO

Distribuidora Internacional de Alimentación, S.A. ("DIA" or the "Company"), in accordance with

Articles 228 of the consolidated wording of the Securities Markets Law and 17 of the Regulation (EU) No 596/2014 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 16 April 2014 on market abuse, hereby announces the following

RELEVANT FACT

The Board of Directors of the Company, following a favorable report from the Nomination and Remuneration Committee, has unanimously resolved in its extraordinary meeting held on 24 August 2018:

•  To terminate the relationship with Mr Ricardo Currás de Don Pablos as Chief Executive Officer (Consejero Delegado) of the Company; following such termination, Mr. Currás has resigned as a member of the Board of Directors of the Company.

•  To appoint Mr Antonio Coto Gutiérrez, who until now has been Executive Manager for Latin America and Partnerships, as the new Chief Executive Officer (Consejero Delegado) of the Company. To this end, Mr Antonio Coto has first been appointed as a member of the Board of Directors on an interim basis (cooptación) (with the status of Executive Director) to cover an already existing vacancy, and has immediately thereafter been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer (Consejero Delegado). The appointment of Mr. Coto as director of the Company will be renewed and submitted for approval at the next General Shareholders' Meeting of the Company.
