New Hampshire employees are powering the possible for the Granite State

MANCHESTER, N.H. (May 1, 2019) - In recognition of its more than 1,000 dedicated Granite State employees who provide excellent service to customers and are deeply committed to serving the neighborhoods where they work and live, Eversource is honored to be recognized by Business NH Magazine as the 2019 New Hampshire Business of the Year in the business services sector. Eversource's strength has always been the power of its employees, who work each day to provide the reliable electricity New Hampshire homes and businesses depend on, as well as to power economic development and a clean energy future in the state.

"All of the credit for this distinguished honor goes to our dedicated and passionate employees who go above and beyond every day to serve our customers, as well all of our community partners who we have the privilege of working with across the state," said Eversource NH President Bill Quinlan. "Whether it's our lineworkers restoring power in fierce weather conditions, our representatives in the contact center providing reassurance and information, or our engineers planning for the integration of emerging clean energy technologies like battery storage, our employees are always there when our customers need us most. Thanks to the dedication of each member of our team, we are making great strides in reliability, innovating a clean energy future in the Granite State and making a meaningful difference in our communities by serving hundreds of non-profits throughout the state."

Eversource is privileged to serve New Hampshire customers, as well as the non-profits that power local communities. In New Hampshire alone, more than 650 Granite State employees volunteered more than 2,350 hours to support local nonprofits and programs in 2018. Eversource's team of employees were the largest contributor among all New Hampshire businesses to the annual Granite United Way campaign for the fifth year in a row, with employee and corporate contributions totaling more than $367,000. In addition, Eversource's annual Walk and 5k Run for Easterseals is a critical source of funding for the essential programs and services the non-profit provides to thousands of New Hampshire citizens throughout the state.

"Eversource employees not only go above and beyond to keep power flowing to our homes and businesses, but they also willingly roll up their sleeves and generously give their time to support countless nonprofits that are vital to our citizens," said Greater Manchester Chamber President Mike Skelton. "They are not only part of our communities, they are hands-on in our communities."
