Now, visitors to Zurich Airport can immerse themselves in the big wide world and explore different cultures. Over the course of the year five destinations will be in the spotlight - the first is China, including the traditional lion and dragon dances at the Airport Center on 10 February.

And during Chinese New Year, Zurich Airport is hosting China weeks until 24 February 2019. In addition to a sea of lanterns, the Chinese garden and illuminated panels with interesting information, various events relating to China will be held during this time at the airport. On Sunday, 10 February 2019, for instance, several lion and dragon dances will take place throughout the day. The performance is a worthwhile day out for the family. The traditional dance show dating back over a thousand years can be seen by young and old visitors alike at several locations at the Airport Center.

'Dragon lunch' and 'Dragon dinner'
A 'Dragon lunch' and 'Dragon dinner' will also take place on 10 February 2019 at the ASIA restaurant at Zurich Airport (registration required). Diners can choose either a three- or four-course set meal with original Chinese dishes. And the ASIA restaurant is also a good place from which to watch the dragon and lion dances.

Exploring different cultures
The China weeks mark the start of a new approach to marketing at Zurich Airport. The campaign aims to create an experience for visitors in which they can immerse themselves in different cultures and explore the big wide world at the airport. Throughout 2019, there will be other destinations in the spotlight, in addition to China - California in the spring, Switzerland and Italy in the summer and the Nordic countries in the winter. As is the case during China weeks, events appropriate for the destinations will be staged during the course of the year. The Airport and Airside Center will also be decorated appropriately during these times.
