Las Vegas: Cristiano Ronaldo is being asked by police to provide a DNA sample over a woman’s claim he raped her in his Las Vegas hotel penthouse in 2009, the football star’s lawyer has said.
Peter S. Christiansen downplayed the development and denied the rape allegation.
A report claims Las Vegas police obtained a warrant that was sent to Italy to obtain a DNA sample from the 33-year-old Ronaldo, who plays in Turin for Juventus.
“He has always said what occurred in Las Vegas in 2009 was consensual, so it is not surprising DNA would be present, nor the police would make this request,” Mr Christiansen said.
