Created in 1972, the Veuve Clicquot Business Woman Award honors women recognized for their professional success. Since models of women's success no longer stop at the borders of the business world, in 2019 the Prize becomes the Bold Woman Award. A new edition in which the champagne Maison reaffirms its drive to highlight and encourage bold women. On November 14th, during a ceremony hosted at 3 Mazarine in Paris, Veuve Clicquot will reveal the names of the 2019 Bold Woman Award and Bold Future Award, previously known as the Prix Clémentine.

Madame Clicquot challenged codes and customs when she took the reins of the Maison in 1805 following the untimely death of her husband. She initiated a host of innovations that marked the world of champagne, including the riddling table and the production of the first known blended rosé champagne.

To pay tribute to her legacy, for its bicentennial in 1972 the Maison created the Veuve Clicquot Business Woman Award. Each year this trailblazing award honors women who have built, taken on or developed a business. In 2014 the Maison created the Prix Clémentine, named after Madame Clicquot's daughter, to recognize women Veuve Clicquot sees as emblematic of the next generation of remarkable businesswomen.

Aware that models of women's success no longer stop at the borders of the business world, Maison Veuve Clicquot rethought the way in which it wanted to reinforce its support for women entrepreneurs with the Bold by Veuve Clicquot program. The latter is built around milestones throughout the world during the year, with the Bold Woman Award - previously the Business Woman Award - at the heart of it all.

'At Veuve Clicquot, we see that the low visibility of female entrepreneurs unfortunately isn't helping other women to dare to try it for themselves. The House was avant-garde in launching this award, but there is still work to do. So we must speak even louder, go faster and take action. It's why we decided to bolster our support of female entrepreneurs by establishing an international program: 'Bold by Veuve Clicquot', said Jean-Marc Gallot, President of Veuve Clicquot.

This program was redesigned for more inclusion, more impact and more international visibility, but also to better understand the personality and strength of women with multiple career paths and achievements, of Role Models of today and tomorrow whose names will become synonymous with the notion of boldness.

On November 14th, during a ceremony hosted at 3 Mazarine in Paris, in the presence of numerous business and culture personalities as well as previous award winners, Veuve Clicquot will reveal the names of the winners of the Bold Woman Award and the Bold Future Award.
