Meralco Power Academy (MPA) and GE Digital established a partnership on promoting an understanding of digital transformation to power and energy companies and to current and future energy talents. Present during the signing of the memorandum of agreement were JV Emmanuel de Dios, CEO of GE Philippines, Mon Segismundo, President of MPA, Ditas Alipao, Country Manager of GE Digital and Agnes Fidelino, Head of Business Development and Marketing of MPA.The partnership provides for learning opportunities in enabling the power sector, including engineering schools and students, to digitally enhance their productivity, innovative capacity and competitiveness. With the aim to promote the Industrial Internet of Things (IIOT) through the Predix platform, both MPA and GE will embark on initiatives such as boot camp sessions, technical forums, hackathons and internships for learning to build solutions to real world industrial challenges.This collaboration supports MPA's advocacy to drive and build a digital culture in the energy sector.
