Launched Proof of Concept for Optimizing the Truck Operation of
Meitetsu Transportation and S LINE.
Fleet EV Initiative LCC (hereinafter, " FEVI") which was established as a joint venture company between Chubu Electric Power Co., Inc. (hereinafter, "Chubu Electric") and Marubeni Corporation (hereinafter, "Marubeni"), hereby announces the launch of a PoC for optimizing the operation of EV trucks with the cooperation of Meitetsu Transportation Co., Ltd. (hereinafter, "Meitetsu Transportation") and S LINE CO.,LTD. (hereinafter, "S LINE").
The goal of this PoC for FEVI is to acquire knowledge in controlling and operating the EV trucks held by Meitetsu Transportation and S LINE. FEVI will also analyze optimal charging methods given the trends in driving and delivery schedules, fleet utilization improvement via high power chargers, energy cost savings through the use of peak-control, and efficient CO2 reduction by introducing EV trucks.
FEVI will contribute to the realization of a sustainable society, not only by proposing converting to EVs to vehicle fleet owners, but also by facilitating the introduction of renewal energy resources and by utilizing EV energy storage function as a BCP measure.
