Butte, Mont. - Jan. 11, 2019 - Anyone struggling to pay their utility bill is asked to call NorthWestern Energy's customer service representatives at 888-467-2669 in Montana or 800-245-6977 in South Dakota and Nebraska to discuss payment options and assistance programs.

As the shutdown of the federal government continues, NorthWestern Energy encourages federal employees who have been furloughed or whose budgets are impacted by working without pay to reach out to the utility to see what options are available.

'We appreciate the work our public employees do for our communities and this nation and want to do our part to lessen the stress that this situation creates for federal employees and their families,' said NorthWestern Energy Director Revenue Cycle Lori St. Aubin.
