Briquettes of Super Production from Tanjung Enim Briquette Factory able to penetrate the markets in Greater Jakarta. Up to now, no less than 60 percent of the production of Tanjung Enim briquette plant is absorbed in Jabodetabek market. Thus disclosed Assistant Manager of Tanjung Enim Briquette PT Bukit Asam (Persero) Tbk or PTBA, Karmain while receiving an excursion visit from the State Islamic University (UIN) student of Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta at Tanjung Enim briquette factory.

The Tanjung Enim briquette factory was built in 1993 which initially aims to replace the position of kerosene fuel as a fuel for household needs. But as there is a new policy, namely subsidized gas, coal briquettes are less competitive, because its use more complicated than gas. Just imagine, to turn on briquettes, it takes less than 15 minutes to burn and really become a fire.

With an installed capacity capable of producing 10,000 tons of coal briquettes per year, the volume of Tanjung Enim briquette production this year is set at 4,200 tons of coal briquettes annually.
