Skanska has signed a contract with The Arctic Student Welfare Organization to build new student housing in Svalbard, Norway. The contract is worth NOK 310 M, about SEK 320 M, which will be included in the Nordic order bookings for the first quarter 2020.

The project encompasses modular housing for 356 students totalling approximately 9,000 square meters at Longyearbyen on Svalbard.

The project start is planned for March 2020. The student housing will be completed in July 2021.
