An infant girl and her big brother were okay after their mother, driving the car they were passengers in, was involved in a two-car crash on Vernon Avenue just north of Saanich Road at about 11:10 a.m. on Friday morning.
A male driver of a late model Toyota sedan hit the mother, in a late model Subaru hatchback, from behind, heavily damaging both the front end of the Toyota and the rear end of the Subaru. The circumstances and cause of the crash are still being confirmed by Saanich Police, however, a paramedic was able to calm baby down, with help from big brother.
Fault of the crash was still unclear though the Subaru was reportedly stopped on at the time of the crash.
There were no apparent injuries though the driver of the Subaru was transported to hospital due to a pre-existing medical condition.
