The salary increase of 1% will take effect from 1 April 2020 for the 14,000 Swisscom employees subject to the collective employment agreement. The salary increases are based on the employee's current position in the salary band and individual performance. One-off payments will be made to employees at the upper end of the salary band. This agreement also takes account of inflation.
Hans Werner, Head of Human Resources Swisscom: «We are in a highly competitive market. Swisscom's success is due to the great commitment our employees have to our customers. As a good employer, it is therefore important for us to pay market-driven salaries in addition to attractive fringe benefits. In line with this, I am pleased with the agreement reached with the social partners.»
Daniel Hügli, General Secretary of the ICT sector at syndicom: «This result is only possible because of an active social partnership, with a strong collective employment agreement and committed members. For some time now, Swisscom employees have been exposed to uncertainty due to a steady reduction in staff within the company. We will continue to work with them to ensure good working conditions.»
