Verizon Communications : Now first responders, including volunteers and retirees, can get discounts on their personal Verizon Unlimited plans

NEW YORK - Now current and retired first responders and volunteer first responders can stay connected to the ones they love with even more savings on their personal Verizon Unlimited plans.

Starting today, customers who are state & local police, fire and EMS employees, retirees or volunteers can sign up for the Go Unlimited plan for $30 per line per month for four lines when enrolled in Auto Pay- a savings of $40 per month (plus taxes and fees). And now that you can mix and match unlimited plansfor the whole family, first responders can save even more on all Verizon Unlimited consumer plans: get $15 off one line, $35 off two lines and $40 off three or more lines.

'When disaster strikes, our first responders are always there to answer the call,' said Mike Maiorana, senior vice president for Verizon public sector. 'Verizon is doubling down on our support of these brave men and women by giving them even more value on their personal lines. It's our way of saying thank you for putting their lives on the line and keeping us safe.'

To get the discount, log into your My Verizon account and upload the proper documentation or visit a store.

This new first responder discount on consumer unlimited plans complements Verizon's first responder and public safety plan for government agencies, which was made available to national and state contract procurement offices in August.
