Mr. Mathes joined the firm in January of 2012 from the Memphis based firm of Duncan Williams Inc. While at Duncan Williams he provided investment guidance and portfolio advisory services while managing fixed income allocations for both individuals and institutions.
He began his career in the financial industry with Ernst & Young, LLP and went on to structure and advise municipal issuers in the Southeast, with a focus on colleges, utilities and hospital systems.
Mr. Mathes graduated from Texas Christian University with degrees in finance and biology.
