Profile

Mr. Fam joined Fidelity Biosciences in January 2008.
Prior to that Mr. Fam was a senior vice president and portfolio manager at Pyramis Global Advisors, a Fidelity Investments company.
In that role Mr. Fam actively managed growth equity assets totaling $6 billion.
Specifically, he managed Pyramis' Large Cap Growth and Mid Cap Growth institutional assets as well as two Fidelity retail mutual funds.
Mr. Fam joined Fidelity in 1994 and was a senior quantitative equity analyst from 1994 to 1998.
In this role, he designed a number of new stock selection models and worked closely with many of Fidelity's equity managers on portfolio strategy.
From 1998 through 2004, Mr. Fam served as Fidelity's director of quantitative research where he lead a team involved in the design of valuation, equity selection and asset allocation models and strategies.
Mr. Fam has published many articles in the areas of computer and communications security, image processing, computer architecture, digital mammography, parallel computing structures, and novel algorithms.
Mr. Fam currently serves on the board (National Advisory Council) of The Whiting School of Engineering at The Johns Hopkins University as well as on the external advisory committee for Electrical and Computer Engineering.
Mr. Fam joined Fidelity in 1994.
Mr. Fam received his BS in 1979 and his MS in 1980 from Johns Hopkins University.
Mr. Fam currently serves on the Board of Directors for U.S.
Genomics and Accuri Cytometers, Inc.
