Calcasieu Women's Shelter, Inc. provide residential and non-residential services which are free and confidential. Some of these are: safe shelter, 24-hour crisis line, individual and group support, an extensive children's program, temporary restraining orders in specific cases, outreach services to Cameron and Allen parishes and outlying areas of Calcasieu Parish, counseling for anyone affected by sexual assault, and community education. They have many opportunities for those wishing to volunteer. It is dedicated to the elimination of personal and societal violence in Southwest Louisiana. It is their mission to create social change through empowerment and support for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault, safe shelter for women and children, and community education.
