Caledonia (Private) Investments Pty Ltd. (Caledonia Investments) is an alternative investment management firm headquartered in Sydney, Australia. The firm is a subsidiary of Caledonia Holdings Co. Pty Ltd. Caledonia Investments was founded in 1992 as a private investment group to manage the investment portfolio of members of the Darling family and later, the Nelson and Vicars families. In 1998, they extended their investment management offerings to a wider selection of clients. The founding family groups remain significant investors and the management team also has a large proportion of their net wealth invested in the Caledonia Portfolio to ensure alignment of interests. The funds which they manage for the founding families, the investment management team and their clients have the same portfolio of investments, which may be made through an individually managed account or through pooled investment vehicles.
