Mr. Christopher L.
Shin is Managing Director & Partner at HighTower Advisors LLC.
He serves as the senior investment advisor for high net worth families, family offices and foundations.
He has over 20 years of experience in financial markets, with specific focus in interest-rate, structured credit, mortgage finance and derivatives products.
He specializes in hedge fund investing both within full asset allocation and hedge fund only mandates.
Prior to joining HighTower Advisors in 2015, Mr. Shin was head of U.S.
Portfolio Management for Guggenheim Investment Advisors, an SEC registered investment advisor.
Prior to joining Guggenheim Partners in 2008, Mr. Shin structured and marketed derivatives products to hedge fund clients at Goldman Sachs.
Prior to Goldman Sachs, he managed a structured finance portfolio at Sailfish Capital.
Additionally, he has credit derivatives and bond trading experience from roles at both Wachovia Securities and Bear Stearns.
He started his career at Merrill Lynch Investment Management as a portfolio manager.
Mr. Shin holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Chicago in Economics and an M.S.
in Finance from Northwestern University.
