Mr. Mathewson came to Bedminster from Soros Capital Management.
Prior to joining Soros in 2000, Mr. Mathewson served as a Director at Banc One Capital Markets/Delphos International in Washington, DC where he had responsibility for the development of international merchant banking business opportunities.
He also held the position of Director at Appian Group, a private equity management firm organized by a founding partner of the Carlyle Group which focused on special situation opportunities in the U.S.
and Europe.
From 1994 to 1997, Mr. Mathewson served as Deputy Vice President of Investment Funds at the Overseas Private Investment Corporation in Washington, DC.
Prior to OPIC, he was a Manager with KPMG Barents Group with responsibility for the firm's investment banking activities in the Baltic countries.
He began his career at Brown Brothers Harriman & Co. in New York.
Mr. Mathewson graduated from Stanford University with a Bachelor of Arts, History and Economics and received his Masters of Management from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.
