Prior to Asset Management Partners, Mr. Hassey joined State Street Bank and Trust Company in Boston, where he served as vice president and chief economist.
In 1978, he joined the Savings Banks Association of Massachusetts as director of research.
In 1983, he joined Bank of New England as vice president in the Fixed Income Management Group and, in 1984, was appointed manager of the group.
He later was appointed senior vice president and managing director at Constitution Capital Management.
Mr. Hassey has served as an instructor at the American Institute of Banking in Boston and as an instructor at the New England School of Banking at Williams College.
He is a past president of the Boston Association of Business Economists.
Mr. Hassey joined BNK-Asset Management Partners after it was purchased by BNK Advisory Group in 2004.
Mr. Hassey graduated from Boston College in 1965 and earned his MBA from Columbia University in 1967.
